You gain knowledge of: • solid and fluid mechanics, • thermodynamics, • machine and mechanism design, • mechanical engineering technology, • materials engineering, • technical cybernetics, mechatronics, robotics and computer science, • modelling, technical measurement and experimental methods. You can: • design machine and equipment structures, including technology and material design, • ensure and organise technological preparation of production, arrange machines and fixtures, material flow, workplace continuity and technical conditions, • read technical drawings and design the most effective methods and procedures for production, assembly, completion and surface treatment, • verify new production procedures, define quality control and technical testing methods, and cooperate in production quality management, • carry out technical supervision at workplaces and check compliance with technological procedures, • apply economic and financial management tools in a company and managerial decision-making methods to search for optimal solutions, • evaluate, improve and design business processes in industrial sectors (metallurgy, mechanical engineering, automotive industry).
