This doctoral study programme is focused on independent scientific research in the field of wood material engineering. As a graduate, you are prepared for careers as research scientists in academic and research institutions, universities, or research and development departments of wood‑processing, construction and materials industries. They may also work as experts in material innovation, development of sustainable materials and advanced wood‑based products.

Study fee

Doctoral studies are generally provided without tuition fees and are associated with doctoral stipends. Full‑time Ph.D. students receive a doctoral study income, the minimum level of which is set by legal regulations and currently amounts to approximately CZK 25,000 per month; in practice, it may be higher depending on involvement in research projects, publication activity, and other academic duties.
