The principal goal of the programme prepares you for their future university and research activities in the field of theory and practice of accounting and reporting, audit of individual and consolidated financial statements, corporate finance and firm´s valuations (financial and managerial accounting, corporate finance, world accounting standards, investments, financial analysis and planning and firm´s valuations). The main emphasis is put on mastering modern quantitative and qualitative research methods, passing advanced financial courses, solving specialized research projects and their presentations at professional conferences and preparing and defending a PhD thesis.

Study

Graduates of the Accountancy and Financial Management study programme: - acquire the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform independent research and advanced analytical activities. - will be able to solve complex problems in financial and managerial accounting and corporate finance, international accounting standards, auditing, investment decision making, financial analysis and planning, and corporate valuation that require the integration of the theoretical background of the discipline and practical application using advanced statistical and econometric methods or sophisticated qualitative analysis methods. - will acquire not only the knowledge and skills needed to solve a research problem, but also the skills needed to present the solution to a professional audience, and the basic knowledge and skills to teach the courses within the specialization at the Bachelor's and Master's level. - can work as an independent researcher in universities, as an applied researcher in corporate practice or in the public sector with a focus on accounting and corporate finance, including in leadership positions or in international organisations.
