The bachelor's degree programme in International Studies and Diplomacy is to prepare economists for the field of international and external economic relations, equipped in particular with adequate theoretical and methodological knowledge and superior language skills. The programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive knowledge of contemporary international practice. The study of international and external economic relations is interdisciplinary, emphasizing extended instruction in international relations, law, history, and quantitative methods. The core values of the program are respect for the ethical dimension of diplomatic work, readiness to work in a multicultural environment, and the ability to respond flexibly to the changing conditions of globalizing international relations.

After completing the programme, you will: - gain interdisciplinary knowledge of international relations and multicultural issues, including ethical aspects; - understand the world economy and financial markets; - know elementary mathematics, probability theory, descriptive statistics and information technology; - understand foreign service, international institutions, basics of diplomacy, diplomatic practice and protocol, political systems, foreign policies and international law; - apply theoretical concepts in international relations and identify dimensions, structures, management models and diplomatic tools; - evaluate links between foreign policy and state development, benefits and risks of foreign relations management and legal contexts of tools; - analyse international political and economic phenomena, institutions, actors, causes, consequences and context; - explain development trends and contemporary conflicts and use international law, diplomatic protocol, negotiation and intercultural communication; - make managerial decisions internationally and communicate in at least two world languages at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
