The aim of the study is to upgrade the skills of a population that has completed secondary education and experience but has not had the opportunity to attain the tertiary education required for middle management positions in the post-secondary period. The methods of study allow for completion while simultaneously working. Therefore, e-learning support and multimedia recordings are used. The core values of the programme are respect for the ethical dimension of business and respect for the law, the ability to cooperate with others and adaptability to a changing economic and social environment.

After completing the study programme, you will: - understand the world economy, economic entities, market failures and their possible solutions; - know methods and procedures of business disciplines for middle management decision-making, including basic economic statistics, commercial law and labour law; - gain basic knowledge of economics, law and economic statistics and apply business management skills, with emphasis on financial management, decision-making and information and communication technologies; - gain advanced knowledge of retail marketing, retail management, consumer protection and market research; - make independent managerial decisions, develop and evaluate a business plan; - apply commercial and labour law; - use management informatics tools, including database systems and project management; - develop interpersonal skills for team management and communication with business partners; - communicate orally and in writing in at least one world language at B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
