Prague University of Economics and Business - Faculty of Business Administration
The professional study programme in Sustainability Management is multidisciplinary. It shows you how to integrate sustainable development principles into corporate and public administration. You focus on the environmental, economic and social aspects of sustainability and how they connect. You learn to identify and address complex sustainability issues in theory and practice. The main pillars are strategic planning, environmental management and economics, corporate social responsibility, sustainable leadership, sustainable finance and sustainable business. You gain skills in analysing and evaluating sustainable projects and explore innovative approaches to sustainability and green economy development. Practical projects and case studies are part of the programme, mainly through supervised company practice. The programme prepares professionals who can integrate sustainable development principles into different types of organisations and contribute to their long-term success and positive impact on society and the environment.
Graduates of the Sustainability Management programme can: - characterize key concepts, theories and models linking different aspects of global sustainability challenges to the effective management of companies and other organisations; - evaluate the implications of firms' strategic decisions on the environment, society and the economy; - design innovative solutions for the operation of companies that are both economically viable and environmentally and socially beneficial; - listen to and engage key stakeholders in the international sustainability dialogue; - develop and maintain an organizational culture based on the values of respect, diversity, inclusion and sustainability.
The Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) is the largest economics-focused university in Czechia and one of the leading business schools in Central and Eastern Europe. You can choose from degree programmes in economics, finance, management, informatics and international relations, taught in Czech and English. During your studies, you build analytical thinking, data skills and the ability to apply theory in real-world contexts. The international AACSB accreditation confirms the quality of education at VŠE. Only a small percentage of business schools worldwide hold it. Teaching is closely linked with practice. You work on real projects with companies, complete internships and meet experts from business and the public sector as part of your courses. VŠE has an extensive network of partner universities, so you can study abroad across Europe and beyond. Graduates combine academic knowledge, language skills and practical experience. They find career opportunities in consulting, finance, IT, public administration and international institutions, often already during their studies.
