main objectives:To equip graduates with theoretical knowledge of mathematical disciplines - probability theory and mathematical statistics; discrete mathematics and combinatorics; reliability and risk theory; numerical mathematics, which will enable them to continue their studies in doctoral study programmes of the appropriate specialization, or prepare them for employment in the academic sphere, institutions engaged in science, research, and innovation. To equip graduates with knowledge of mathematical and statistical methods specific to the field of reliability and risk assessment, including thorough knowledge of working with relevant software tools, especially with an emphasis on their use in industrial practice at the level of middle and senior management professionals.

Graduates of the programme acquire knowedge of an appropriate range and depth concerning the principles of logical and critical thinking and they understand the connections between the four main subject areas of the curriculum, as defined by its foundation subjects: probability theory and mathematical statistics, discrete mathematics and combinatorics, dependability management and risk analysis, and numerical analysis.
