Technical University of Liberec - Fakulta strojní
The study programmeme aims is to educate specialists for manufacturing and development practice as well as for the academic sphere. You will acquire the necessary knowledge in the field of vehicle design. Graduates will acquire design methods as well as other engineering disciplines, such as problem identification, modelling and simulation, preparation and evaluation of experiments, etc., which they can apply in engineering practice and in similarly oriented technical fields. Their competences will be strengthened by knowledge of modern computational methods, professional skills supporting creative activity, and the ability to use both traditional and new materials and technologies. The study programmeme also focuses on new topics related to electromobility, quality, innovation, and single-track vehicles. Emphasis is placed on the environmental aspects of vehicle operation. The engineering core of the study plan consists of disciplines focused on dynamic strength and structural durability, vibrations of mechanical systems, heat and mass transfer, theory of mechanisms, electric drives, and servomechanisms. The study plan is further complemented by field-specific courses dealing with power units, vehicle-related issues, and projects. Elective courses allow students to tailor their studies according to their own interests, professional orientation, or future specialisation.
Apply online via the study agenda information system of the Technical University of Liberec (IS/STAG TUL). The online application form is available here: https://stag.tul.cz/portal/studium/uchazec/informace.html?pc_lang=cs
During their studies, graduates of the study programmeme will acquire a broad set of theoretical and professional knowledge and skills corresponding to the current state of knowledge, enabling them to independently solve technical problems and carry out creative work in the field of vehicle development and design, as well as to work as part of a research or development team. Professional knowledge: Graduates of the study programmeme possess knowledge from a broader range of engineering disciplines focused on application in development and design, for example knowledge of relevant topics in applied mechanics, modelling and simulation of mechanical systems, computer-aided design, materials for structural applications, technical diagnostics, and experimental methods. Their field-specific orientation is focused on the design and operation of vehicles, their power units, transmission systems, and other assemblies. Professional skills: Graduates of the study programmeme are able to independently design vehicle parts and components of vehicle systems, use computer-aided tools, models, and simulations to solve engineering tasks, operate measuring and testing equipment, and apply suitable experimental methods. When solving analogous tasks, they are able to apply contemporary design methods and methods of creative technical work in vehicle development. Graduates will also be prepared for employment in other industrial sectors where they can make use of the knowledge they have acquired. Although the graduate profile is defined within a specific field, the qualification is also applicable across disciplines.
