The overall goal of the Bachelor's (Bc.) degree is to create a solid foundation for students in the field of professional training and in the field of teaching, especially for entry into the subsequent Master's (NMgr.) degree in teaching. The practical focus on educational problems also opens up the graduate to employment in the field of professional assistant activities in elementary schools, or even in secondary schools. The goal of studying the German language is to equip the student with such knowledge and skills that will enable him to apply himself within middle management in the private and state spheres focused primarily on education, further education or educational and pedagogical work in his free time, or to continue in the subsequent study programmes of Teaching for the 2nd level of elementary schools or Teaching for secondary schools and here to deepen and professionally complete his teaching qualification. The student will therefore acquire language skills at such a level that he will be able to communicate fluently in German, both orally and in writing, and will also have knowledge of the German language system so that he will be able to describe the regularities of the system. The student will also gain an overview of the basic areas of psychology and pedagogy, both general and those directly related to the teaching of the German language.

The graduates of the German for Education bachelor study programmeme acquire knowledge concerning the theoretical background of the field and they are able to apply the knowledge into practical communicative situations. The graduates have reached the communicative language competence at the level C1 in receptive language skills and the threshold level C1 in productive language skills as defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
