Technical University of Liberec - Fakulta strojní
The Machine and Equipment Design programme prepares specialists who will find employment both in professional practice and in the research sphere. During your studies, you acquire the necessary knowledge for design and innovation activities in the field of machine, equipment, and production line design. They learn to use modern design methods, simulations, and experimental techniques that support creative technical work. Graduates are equipped with a deep understanding of theories, concepts, and methods corresponding to the current state of science and technology. The theoretical foundation of the programme includes disciplines focused on dynamic strength and structural durability, vibrations of mechanical systems, heat and mass transfer, theory of mechanisms, electric drives, and servomechanisms. Students become more deeply familiar with CAD systems and numerical simulations in CAE systems. In addition, they work with design methods, methods of obtaining scientific and technical information, and methods of experimental data measurement and evaluation. Graduates of the programme are able to solve strength-related and structural issues of machines and equipment and are proficient in the design of production lines. The study may be profiled with a focus on production and processing machines, textile machines, production lines for nanofibrous structures and special-purpose machines, industrial robots, or energy equipment.
