The study programmeme focuses on new directions of research, particularly in the design of machines and equipment for textile machinery, machines and production lines for the manufacture of nanofibres and nanofibrous structures, energy machines, production machines, 3D printing equipment, glass-making machinery, industrial robots and applied robotics, vehicles, and power units.

During their studies, graduates of the doctoral study programmeme acquire a broad set of professional knowledge, skills, and general competences that enable them to conduct independent scientific research and carry out independent creative activities in the field of research or development of machines and equipment. Professional knowledge: Graduates of the doctoral study programmeme possess deep theoretical and professional knowledge of the design and construction of machines and equipment, applied mechanics, modelling of mechanical systems, computer-aided design, technical measurements, and experimental methods. During their studies, they also acquire deeper knowledge of other disciplines in mechanical engineering and related fields, depending on the focus of their dissertation. Professional skills: Graduates of the doctoral study programmeme are capable of independent scientific research and independent creative activity in the field of research and development of machines and equipment. They are able to design and apply advanced research procedures and methods in a manner that contributes to expanding the current state of knowledge. They acquire, for example, methods of analysis, synthesis, and optimisation of design problems. General competences: Graduates of the doctoral study programmeme are able to communicate their own findings in the field clearly and convincingly to other members of the scientific community at an international level as well as to the general public. They have acquired methods of creative scientific work based on simulation and experimental approaches.
