The aim of the study programme is to profile an expert who has knowledge of economics, business economics, industrial engineering and information technology, who will expand their skills in computer data processing, applied statistics and informatics, design, improvement of integrated systems of people, machines, materials and energy in order to achieve optimal productivity of production business processes. During the study, emphasis is also placed on the acquisition of skills in the areas of managerial psychology and sociology, human resource management, important for the graduate's work in the field of production management and organization, project management. The specificity and attractiveness of the field lies in the connection of academic education in interdisciplinary areas of mathematics, product management, production technology, software support for industrial engineering.

Graduates are competent for practical application in lower and middle management-production and economic-operational positions in industrial companies, sales and service companies and companies providing specialized design and innovation services in the areas of production process design, quality management and information support of digitized processes in the spirit Industry 4.0 concept.
