The aim of the master's degree programme is to profile an expert who has knowledge of economics, industrial engineering and information technology, who will expand their skills in computer data processing, design of production systems, improvement of integrated systems of people, machines, materials and energy in order to maximize productivity. manufacturing business processes. During the study, emphasis is also placed on acquiring skills in the areas of business information systems, materials engineering, important for the graduate's work in all areas of production management and organization. The specificity and attractiveness of the field lies in the connection of professionally oriented academic education in interdisciplinary areas of management and economics of industrial engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering and other industrial technologies, computer aided design and production and in connection with used robotic systems at advanced levels? Industry 4.0. Part of the study is a professional internship, organized in such a way that the student can complete it continuously during the study. Professional practice is focused on the acquisition of practical knowledge, skills and abilities that will significantly affect the graduate's employability in the labor market and enable quality elaboration of the diploma thesis.
The basis of the graduate's profile is the acquisition of competencies for effective management and coordination of production systems, leadership of work teams, and entire production or. service departments, solving projects aimed at increasing process efficiency and designing modern production in the spirit of Industry 4.0. To achieve the above competencies, the graduate will gain key knowledge of modern concepts of production management, materials engineering, industry 4.0, but will also learn to understand the nature of processes implemented in industrial companies in terms of engineering technology, construction and computer aided design and machining strategies (CAM). - Computer Aided Manufacturing). The graduate will also gain knowledge in the field of general economic theory, quantitative methods and information technology for solving selected problems in the organization and management of production processes and related support processes. The graduate profile is also significantly influenced by subjects aimed at gaining active knowledge of IT support for business processes. The teaching of foreign languages, especially English and German, also contributes to the employment of graduates in the labor market, and this requirement follows directly from the requirements of industrial companies. The graduate acquires practical knowledge and skills of methods and tools of industrial engineering by completing professional internships in industrial companies, which will also greatly support its applicability in the labor market. The profile of the graduate, the structure of the study programme were consulted with representatives of industrial companies and reflect the results of long-term research among industrial companies in the Czechia and in the world. The graduate has the opportunity to continue in doctoral study programmes at FaME.
