The aim of the three-year professionally oriented Bachelor's degree programme in Radiological Assistance is to provide theoretical and practical preparation for the profession of a radiological assistant. The study programme equips graduates with the professional qualifications required for radiodiagnostic and radiotherapeutic procedures in nuclear medicine, the application of ionizing radiation, and the implementation of specific nursing procedures related to radiological examinations and treatments. Graduates will be able to perform all procedures in accordance with the principles of radiation protection, ethics, efficiency, and environmental sustainability, while being aware of the legal regulations governing healthcare services and medical care in the Czechia. Graduates will be capable of evaluating the quality of imaging documentation, independently solving problems, planning and organizing their own work, and cooperating with other specialists as effective members of a multidisciplinary team. Students will acquire practical skills through mandatory professional nursing and radiological internships, which will enable them to apply the theoretical knowledge and practical skills gained from theoretical and practical courses in real healthcare service settings. The programme is completed by the defense of a Bachelor’s thesis and a state final examination in the core specialized subjects.
