The aim of the professionally focused study programme Accounting and Taxes is to prepare graduates for their work in practice in the private, public and non-profit spheres in lower and middle management positions, with the ability to make independent decisions and apply a systematic and creative approach to problem solving. In addition to field-oriented knowledge and skills in accounting and taxes, graduates have general knowledge and skills in economics, management, business economics, law, financial markets, can apply basic mathematical and statistical methods and information technology, master and actively use knowledge of English language in professional communication.
The graduate has knowledge of economic theory, basics of law, economics, public and corporate finance, tax issues, financial accounting in the Czech and international context, management accounting and accounting of non-profit organizations, which allow him to successfully perform economic and managerial functions in financial and accounting departments in companies, state administration and self-government, financial institutions, non-profit organizations, consulting firms and self-employment. The graduate is capable of independent decision-making, creative thinking and dealing with people. He is also ready to study in a master's degree programme focused on taxes, accounting, finance, business economics, or non-profit organizations and public administration.
