The University of Defence offers accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral programmes in military and military management, economics, engineering, health and medicine. It is also a lifelong learning centre with non-accredited defence qualification courses for senior officers. Civilian and international students can study here. You gain education within Czechia’s university system, comparable to civilian universities. The University prepares military professionals and experts for national security and defence, based on Czech Army needs, government administration and commitments to democratic countries. Teaching draws on current defence knowledge, research and development and its own research. The University builds broad graduate profiles, so you can adapt to changing military conditions, grow in your career and use your education after leaving the Czech Army. Its credit system follows the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), supports mobility and transparent recognition. As a member of the European Federation of National Engineering Associations (FEANI), it enables engineering graduates to apply for the European Engineer (EUR ING) title.
