Study

Graduates from this study programme have a broad portfolio of theoretical knowledge of the fields in question, practical laboratory skills including work with exclusion of air gases, in a vacuum and at high pressures, and are able to work with modern instruments for both synthesis and analysis. Graduates are able to explain chemical events and processes, and their principles including primary quantum chemical calculations using modern software. Specifically, this involves the development of theoretical preparation in areas of inorganic chemistry, organometallic chemistry and coordination compounds, and other interrelated disciplines where these compounds are applied to the highest possible degree of current knowledge. As far as instrumental techniques are concerned, graduates will be familiar with NMR spectroscopy and crystallography techniques, including the following support techniques: EPR, IQ, Raman’s and UV-Vis spectroscopy, microscopic and thermic techniques.
