The aim of the study programme is to educate specialists in the field of conservation and restoration of fine art and applied art objects on various supports, both in studio-based and in situ conservation and restoration practice. Education within the programme is grounded in a tradition of thorough craft and artistic training, which is essential for the high-quality execution of individual conservation and restoration procedures as well as for understanding the material, aesthetic, and artistic values of artworks. At the same time, the programme develops the European concept of conservation and restoration, based on the principles of interdisciplinary collaboration, a scientific approach to the examination of objects and the testing of applied materials, and respect for the historical development of the artwork.

Graduates acquire in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of conservation and restoration within the relevant specialization studied.
