The degree programme aims to prepare students for their future work as academic or scientific researchers in the field of economics and management and for managerial activities in private or public sector organisations. The doctoral degree programme prepares students for a wide spectrum of economic activities and enables students to acquire knowledge and skills necessary for independently solving research problems in the field of economics and management using critical thinking and methods of scientific work with regard to the ethical and related contexts. Those pursuing the programme learn to analyse, evaluate, and design systems related to the management and economics of companies and institutions. The programme also implements current theoretical knowledge in the field and takes into account trends affecting the environment of companies such as Industry 5.0, process management, digitisation, innovative business, globalisation, etc.

Attach: (a) a certified copy of the Master’s or follow-up Master’s degree certificate as a PDF from authorised conversion; if you have not completed studies, admission is conditional on submitting documents by enrolment and providing a transcript confirming the final state examination and due completion of the Master’s programme; (b) a provisional dissertation topic and supervisor name from Annex 1; (c) a one-page CV (A4); (d) previous scholarly activities and publications cited in APA 7th style; (e) a dissertation proposal with literature review, research problem, objectives and hypotheses, methodology, data sources and expected contribution. The proposal assesses readiness for independent research.
Graduates will acquire detailed knowledge of the field of economics, management, quantitative and qualitative methods, methodology of scientific work, and other fields in connection with their dissertation topics such as financial management, marketing, trade, stochastic models, regional development management, and information systems. Graduate destinations include academic or research staff positions, managerial positions at the highest level of private enterprises and public organisations.
