The aim of the degree programme is to deepen students' knowledge in the field of economics, economics and management and to prepare graduates especially for the management of their own business or for demanding management functions, especially in the corporate sector. To build students' global perspective in the field of business and to further develop the skills and abilities to plan and implement business activities. To develop skills in building competitive advantage in a dynamic global market environment. To enhance knowledge and skills in business management and economics, as well as in the various business functions through compulsory electives.
Apply for the master's degree programmes at the Faculty of Economics of the University of South Bohemia can be submitted exclusively in the form of an electronic application. Graduates of the follow-up Master’s programme in Economics and Management deepen their knowledge of economics, strategic management, finance, investment decision-making, human resource management, and quantitative methods. They are able to understand the business environment, identify and exploit market opportunities, solve problems creatively, set strategic goals, make informed decisions, apply theory in practice, communicate in both their native language and English, and assess information qualitatively and quantitatively. Through elective courses (blocks A1 and A2), students further develop expertise in business, marketing, quantitative methods, computer science, and foreign languages. The programme prepares graduates for middle and senior management roles requiring strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills across diverse business environments. Typical career paths include managerial positions in core business functions, specialist roles in quality management, marketing, trade, and economic analysis, as well as junior and senior positions in national and multinational companies.
