The aim of the study is to prepare qualified professionals for the field of social work - social workers in accordance with the requirements of Act No.108/2006 Coll., on Social Services and in accordance with the Minimum Standard of Education in Social Work of the Association of Social Work Educators of the Czechia. Graduates are qualified social workers in state, private, church and non-state non-profit organizations that deal with individuals, families, groups or communities in difficult life situations.

New students are admitted once a year, and entrance exams for the following academic year are usually held in June. 1) Submission of an electronic application via the STAG system. 2) Payment of the admission procedure fee. 3) Submission of the required documents (e.g. medical certificate, secondary school leaving certificate, diploma depending on the type of study). 4) Completion of the entrance examination, if required for the given study programme. 5) Evaluation of the admission procedure and publication of results. 6) The possibility to file an appeal against a rejection decision within the specified deadline.

Study

The programme equips students with knowledge of social work theories and methods to address complex client situations, assess needs, and plan appropriate social services. Students develop skills in working with social documentation, interdisciplinary cooperation, and delivering comprehensive support. They learn to implement rehabilitation, resocialisation, activation, and socio-therapeutic activities, as well as provide social and legal counselling to clients and their families. Graduates find employment as social workers in public, non-profit, and private sectors, including social services, education, healthcare, the justice system, integration centres, and public administration.
