The programme focuses on the modern concept of nursing with an emphasis on an individual approach to the patient and on care for a healthy lifestyle and disease prevention. Graduates will be authorised to practise the health profession as a general nurse. The study is comparable to educational programmes in European Union countries where You can find employment in the labour market.
New students are admitted once a year, and entrance exams for the following academic year are usually held in June. 1) Submission of an electronic application via the STAG system. 2) Payment of the admission procedure fee. 3) Submission of the required documents (e.g. medical certificate, secondary school leaving certificate, diploma depending on the type of study). 4) Completion of the entrance examination, if required for the given study programme. 5) Evaluation of the admission procedure and publication of results. 6) The possibility to file an appeal against a rejection decision within the specified deadline.
Students will learn to apply methods of health and social work according to clients’ individual life situations, design, coordinate, and evaluate the scope of health and social care services, provide social and legal counselling related to clients’ health conditions and illnesses, support the social inclusion and reintegration of patients into society, acquire fundamental knowledge of medicine, anatomy, pathology, physiology, hygiene, internal medicine, surgery, psychiatry, paediatrics, geriatrics, and first aid, understand healthcare organisation and management, social security law, and national social and health policies. Career opportunities include positions such as Health and Social Worker, Social Worker.
