Graduates of the Zoology programme possess deep knowledge of their field and specialization, comparable to that provided by analogous institutions both in the Czechia and abroad. The primary objective is to prepare graduates to creatively pursue further research in zoology or related fields, including applied disciplines. You gain a solid overview of current knowledge and challenges in zoology, animal ecology, and evolutionary biology, while mastering the fundamental modern methodologies of these fields. They possess an in-depth understanding of scientific disciplines directly related to the focus of their dissertation (e.g., animal physiology, developmental biology, molecular biology, conservation biology). They are capable of professional oral and written communication, with a specific focus on writing scientific publications and grant proposals. Thanks in part to internships at renowned foreign institutions, they are prepared to collaborate with international experts and work in international teams.
