During your studies, you master the techniques of drawing and painting and you learn how to illustrate a book. They will work on specific tasks which result in the creation of a book. Many students of this studio have launched cooperation with renowned publishing houses. You will learn from one of the best Czech illustrators of books for children and adults, Mrs.Renata Fučíková. *********** This study programme is focused on the recognition of the importance and nature of information and in the choice of appropriate means of expression, such as colour, symbol, expression, function, font, hierarchy, image, shape, and composition. Attention is paid to the meaning and the information level of a graphic design assignment and related professional responsibilities, as well as to the interpretation of an artwork by means of an artistic shortcut. *********** The study programme Comics and Illustration for Children focuses on the current development of the genre of comics and its role in education and the modern world. Attention is paid to different categories of illustration for the smallest children, such as folding picture books, colouring books and different varieties of folding books, as well as to books for young readers, and school textbooks and teaching aids. *********** This study programme is focused on work with paper and similar materials in relation to spatial design. As a natural follow-up of the study field Book Illustration and Book Editing, you gain insight into the area of artistic bookbinding, you learn how to work with non-standard printed materials and how to create cut-outs and folded puzzles. Students discover the magic of the packaging design, *********** This study programme is aimed at the interconnection of graphic, typographic, photographic, cinematographic, audio and digital design elements and tools for different media, so that students get prepared for the creation and design of information graphics, users' manuals, digital interfaces, guidance and navigation systems, teaching and learning materials and visual identity of cultural institutions, non-profit organizations, businesses, public institutions and administrative bodies.

You gain knowledge and skills necessary for the illustration of a book and they will cooperate with publishers. Therefore, they will be able to cooperate with printing offices and publishing houses. After graduation, they can become independent artists, work for graphic or art studios or for various cultural and educational institutions. Thanks to the prior cooperation with publishers, it will be easier to find employment. *********** You gain rich knowledge of the creation and design of information and social posters, books, art books, catalogues, magazines, business cards, logos, and packaging design. On a professional level, you learn how to work with graphic editors. After graduation, you can work as independent creators or as a member of creative teams in graphics, advertising and DTP studios, museums, galleries and other cultural institutions, educational institutions, public administration, business and enterprise, in web design, or in publishing. *********** You learn how to use various traditional and modern printmaking techniques related to drawing, and they gain in-depth insight into the world of photography. Moreover, you learn how to use various graphic editors and animation techniques. The study is focused on a wide range of different types of comics: entertaining, educational, promotional and informational, as well as on students' personal projects. The study is completed with the basics of dramaturgy, screenwriting and animation. After graduation, students become independent creators or join creative teams in publishing, graphics, advertising and DTP studios, museums, galleries and other cultural or educational institutions. *********** In the field of bookbinding, you gain practical experience related to the basic technologies of book production. Within the category of packaging, you master the principles of visual communication, as well as the fundamentals of making cartoons and folding picture-books, and paper packaging. Moreover, you learn how to work with various graphic editors. Students create large-format artworks made of paper and related materials for exhibitions, gallery expositions, or advertising presentations. As it could not be otherwise, they will have the possibility to create their own personal pieces of art. After graduation, students become independent creators, launch their own business or become members of creative teams in book binding, printing, advertising, culture or education. *********** You master the language of visual communication and graphic, typographic and photographic techniques, digital graphic technologies, information and communication media, audiovisual tools and information networks. The study is focused on the methodology of designing teaching materials, publications and information campaigns, as well as on visual communication (learning systems with the involvement of new media for educational institutions, enterprises, public institutions, and mass-media). After graduation, you can work as independent creators or as members of creative teams in graphics, advertising and DTP studios, museums, galleries and other cultural institutions, educational institutions, public administration, or in web design.
