This follow-up Master’s degree programme responds to the requirements of the integration development of contemporary Europe and aims at educating professionals with good knowledge of European history in relation to the Czech cultural, scientific and spiritual traditions. The study programme is suitable for graduates of Bachelor’s study programmes with a linguistic, philosophical, anthropological, sociological, or political science focus. The study programme consists of several groups of subjects, which provide students with in-depth knowledge of the European spiritual traditions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam), European philosophical and scientific traditions, the history of European art and European legal and administrative culture. Students have the possibility to participate in internship programmes and work on various projects focused on their specialisation. They master two world languages.

Students extend their knowledge of European culture, based on an interdisciplinary approach. You learn how to analyse and evaluate texts, as well as material and spiritual artefacts. They will be able to apply their knowledge when looking for solutions of a cultural, social, administrative and economic nature. Students become independent decision-makers who are able to deal with issues related to culture. They can reliably interpret, explain and defend their opinions in front of professionals and the general public. Thanks to the multidisciplinarity of this study programme, after graduation, you can find employment in many spheres. After graduation, you can find employment in administrative, commercial, cultural, educational, and research institutions.
