The four-year doctoral study programme is intended for those who wish to engage deeply in industrial engineering and modern production management concepts in industrial companies. They will gain comprehensive knowledge of the design, planning and efficient operation of a digital factory using tools and methods for optimizing business processes.

Study

The programme offers subjects focused on Industry 4.0, innovation processes in mechanical engineering companies, product lifecycle management, and you may also focus, for example, on modelling and optimization of technological processes, ergonomics, virtual or digital production systems or knowledge management in industrial companies. Graduates educated in industrial engineering have developed systems thinking, are able to analyze causes and problems within a company, its links to the environment and propose changes leading to improved overall functionality and prosperity. They will find employment primarily in connection with robotization, automation and digitalization of business processes, in manufacturing companies, IT firms and the public sector. They may work, for example, as highly specialized experts in collaborative robotics or virtual and augmented reality systems.
