The aim of this study programme is to educate highly qualified researchers with deep knowledge of various mathematical disciplines (mathematical analysis, discrete mathematics, numerical mathematics, geometry, etc.). The study programme focuses on both the theoretical basis of a specific discipline and a profound understanding of its specifics related to the topic of a dissertation. The essential aim is the involvement of students in the life of the international mathematical community. Graduates possess in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematical techniques, can independently analyze problems and work with evidence of abstract mathematical models and know how to formulate clear and concise mathematical texts. They have experience with work in international teams and know how to process, prepare and present a scietific project. After graduation, you can find employment in basic and applied research in the public or private sphere, in an academic environment and in companies and institutions using mathematical methods and knowledge - both in Czechia and abroad.
