This doctoral study programme consists of mandatory courses focused on various aspects of academic work, such as the collection and analysis of data, and the publication and presentation of research results. Moreover, students select subjects according to their specialization. They can focus on topics related to the politics of various states and statehood within the international system, development studies, and research on conflict and peace studies. Students carry out teaching activities and gain excellent language skills.

Studium

You deepen their knowledge of international relations, and become qualified specialists. You learn how to independently formulate problems and find their solutions. They are able to present the results of their scientific work orally, as well as in writing. In addition, they gain teaching experience. After graduation, you can find employment in the academic sphere, but also in public and government offices. They can work in international institutions, NGOs, advisory agencies, analytical centres, or diplomatic services. Graduates will be able to apply for specialist positions within the military forces, in intelligence or development agencies, and in the media.
