During study of specialization Design of Power Engineering Machines and Equipment, you will gain expert knowledge and skills in the design of power engineering machines and equipment or in their operation and control. You will become familiar with the latest computational, experimental and design methods used in industrial power engineering. *********** During study of specialization Nuclear Power Equipment Design, you will gain expert knowledge and skills in the design, production and operation of nuclear power equipment. You will become familiar with reactor physics, the design and technological solutions of nuclear power equipment and nuclear reactor control. You will also focus on the operational safety of these facilities and their environmental impact.

You will become familiar with the latest design methods in industrial power engineering using state-of-the-art computing technology. You will focus on the design of thermal power equipment, including alternative energy sources. You will also gain the basics of the design and operation of nuclear power equipment. You will learn to perform analyses and solve assigned problems in the design and operation of thermal and flow equipment. You will be able to create variant and optimized solutions with regard to efficient use of energy sources in a given area. Thanks to your high qualification, you will find employment in many positions in the field of industrial power engineering and capital engineering, for example in power plants or manufacturing companies. You may work as specialists in project, design, computational, experimental, technological, production, operational and service activities in research institutes and industry. You may also work as specialized secondary school teachers. *********** You will gain knowledge and experience for work in development, design, production, operation and safety of nuclear power equipment and other technical equipment where radioactive radiation fields occur. You will deepen your knowledge of mathematics, physics and chemistry. You will gain orientation in materials used in power engineering, become familiar with issues concerning the secondary circuit of a nuclear power plant and be able to thoroughly describe a nuclear reactor. You will acquire the knowledge necessary for the construction, assembly and operation of a nuclear power plant. You will gain orientation in the field of operational diagnostics of nuclear power plants and control of nuclear units. Thanks to your high qualification, you will find employment in many positions in the field of nuclear power engineering and nuclear mechanical engineering. You may work as specialists in project, design, computational, technological, production, operational and service activities in research institutes and industry, as well as in nuclear power plants or research and training reactor facilities.
