In the four-year professional bachelor’s study programme Engineering, students prepare to start a successful career in companies. Their knowledge is tailored to the requirements of the business sector, especially in the Pilsen, South Bohemian and Karlovy Vary regions. The practical part of the studies takes place not only in school laboratories but also during continuous internship in the winter semester of the 4th year in industrial companies. They will gain broad knowledge of basic technical disciplines and become thoroughly familiar with mechanical engineering and the automotive sector.

The study consists of subject blocks that introduce you to the basics of mechanical engineering, materials chemistry, mechanics, manufacturing processes and the fundamentals of business management. You will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge in manual and automatic NC machine programming. You will learn to create standard NC technologies and to develop programs for the most commonly used CNC control systems in mechanical engineering. During your studies, you will become familiar with the basics of modelling using the most widely used computer systems and gain practical experience directly in manufacturing companies. The programme also includes language training. You will find employment primarily in mechanical engineering operations in the field of NC machine programming and production planning. You may also work in commercial and consulting companies and in public administration. The combination of technical education with economic and managerial knowledge will enable you to solve complex problems in professional practice. At the same time, you are also prepared to continue in a follow-up master's’s study programme. *********** The study consists of subject blocks that introduce you to the basics of mechanical engineering, materials chemistry, mechanics, manufacturing processes and the fundamentals of business management. You will gain knowledge in metrology, materials and classical and advanced technologies, and you will become familiar with the design and automation of manufacturing processes. You will learn about international standards related to quality management systems and environmental management systems. You will be able to work with technical documentation. You will learn how the process of implementing, managing and maintaining a quality system works in a manufacturing company. You will learn to conduct internal audits according to a given standard, including preparation and completion. During your studies, you will gain practical experience in manufacturing companies. The programme also includes language training. You will find employment mainly in manufacturing companies in the field of quality and environmental management. You may work as quality managers and internal auditors. You may also work in commercial and consulting companies and in public administration.The combination of technical education with economic and managerial knowledge will enable you to solve complex problems in professional practice. At the same time, you are also prepared to continue in a follow-up master's’s study programme. *********** The study consists of subject blocks that introduce you to the basics of mechanical engineering, materials chemistry, mechanics, manufacturing processes and the fundamentals of business management. You will learn not only to diagnose road vehicles and machines using the latest technology, but also acquire knowledge in measurement technology and non-destructive testing, which makes it possible to detect product defects without damaging them. You will understand machine mechanisms, the basics of transport and handling technology and manufacturing machines. As part of compulsory practice, you will become familiar with the overall portfolio of a selected automotive company. The programme also includes language training. You will find employment mainly in technical positions in companies engaged in production for the automotive industry. You may also work in commercial and consulting companies and in public administration. The combination of technical education with economic and managerial skills will enable you to solve complex problems in professional practice. At the same time, you are also prepared to continue in a follow-up master's’s study programme.
