You gain knowledge of advanced mathematical theories and scientific methods with respect to the modern approach to teaching mathematics at secondary schools. You learn how to analyse and discuss various topics related to mathematics and are able to use appropriate teaching methods to explain them to their students. Students can choose a complementary subject, either Physics or Computer Science.

Study

The curriculum consists of subjects from mathematics and its methodology, of subjects from the selected complementary subject and its methodology, as well as of pedagogy, psychology, general didactics andteaching practice. The Faculty of Applied Sciences is focused on natural sciences and technology and, therefore, graduates are educated to become teachers who are able to explain mathematics in a broad context of all its applications. Graduates possess professional skills that enable them to become teachers of mathematics at secondary schools or colleges.
