The aim of this study programme is to educate experts who have a deep understanding of art and artistic activities in human life and education. Students become familiar with the history of art works and learn how to critically evaluate modern art. You learn how to evaluate aesthetic qualities of a work of art. Students focus on didactic issues, specific teaching methods and educational programmes.

Study

During your studies, students focus on both theoretical and practical courses. The theoretical part focuses on the interpretation and analysis of artworks and work with artistic artefacts as a means of influence and cognition. You learn how to develop their skills related to drawing, painting, graphics, multimedia and three-dimensional production. In addition, they become familiar with various topics of didactics that they can apply as an art teacher. After graduation, you can find employment mainly as teachers of art at elementary and secondary schools. Moreover, they have the possibility of continuing their studies in various educational programmes. After graduation, you can find employment in positions which require creativity.
