The master’s program in Transportation Systems and Engineering builds on the bachelor’s program of the same name. The master’s program offers two specializations—you can focus on transportation systems (process control technology for road, urban, rail, and air transport) or transportation engineering (the design of road and rail vehicles). The choice is yours. After two years of advanced study, you’ll be well-prepared for the workforce and ready to join a transportation company. You’ll become an expert in reliability and functional safety, logistics, and transportation information systems. You’ll also easily master the design of efficient technologies and the management of transportation processes.

Study

Graduates of the Transportation Systems and Technology program possess specialized knowledge in both theoretical areas—such as mathematics, reliability, and functional safety in transportation engineering, logistics, and applied computational methods at a level enabling their practical application, as well as knowledge in specialized fields such as information systems in transportation, traffic accident analysis, and human factor reliability in transportation—both across all specializations and additionally within the scope of a specific specialization. Within the specialized portion of the program, you can focus on the following specializations: Transportation Systems, Transportation Engineering. Within each specialization, students will further focus on the study of key technical and technological subjects related to their respective specialization. Graduates of the Transportation Systems specialization are able to design and measure the parameters of transportation processes in transportation systems, assess their benefits for transport operators and users of transport systems, design large-scale transport systems for road, rail, and air transport—including their integration within multimodal transport—and evaluate their efficiency, reliability, and safety in conjunction with intelligent transport systems. Graduates of the Transportation Engineering specialization are capable of performing all key activities involved in the production of vehicles and their components, ranging from the design and construction of mechanical parts and assemblies, and the creation of structural assemblies with an emphasis on reliability and safety, to the integration of vehicle systems into higher-level intelligent systems. They are also qualified to design maintenance and repair procedures and to hold technical and managerial positions in companies focused on vehicle operation and maintenance.
