VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava - Faculty of Materials Science and Technology
The Nanotechnology program opens the door to a fascinating world where science operates on a scale a thousand times smaller than theImagine being able to design materials and technologies at the scale of atoms and molecules. Nanotechnology takes you into a world where tiny structures create extraordinary properties and groundbreaking applications. From advanced materials and electronics to medicine, energy, and environmental solutions, you will learn how to understand, characterize, and engineer matter at the nanoscale. The programme combines materials science, physics, chemistry, and modern technologies to prepare you for innovation in one of the most dynamic fields of contemporary science and engineering. diameter of a human hair. This follow-up master’s program is designed for those who already have a background in materials science, applied physics, chemistry, or related fields and wish to take their knowledge to the next level.
Applications are submitted online through the VSB–TUO Electronic Application System. Applicants select their study programme, complete the required information, and upload all mandatory documents. After submitting the application and meeting the admission requirements, they are included in the admission procedure.
Graduates possess knowledge of physics, chemistry, and materials science with a focus on the preparation, characterization, and application of nanomaterials. They are skilled in the use of modern laboratory and analytical methods, the design and implementation of experiments, the evaluation of results, and the solution of technical problems related to the development of new materials. They are capable of both independent and team-based work in research, development, and industrial practice, and find employment in high-tech companies, research centres, laboratories, and academia.
Choose VSB – Technical University of Ostrava and study at a university that has brought together engineering, economics, natural sciences and the arts for more than 175 years. Its modern study programmes respond to real-world challenges and build on top-level fundamental and applied research. Thanks to its tradition, close cooperation with industry and partnerships with many Czech and international universities, you will join an environment that creates innovative solutions across a wide range of fields and gives graduates strong career prospects.
