The SMART Engineering program is a modern successor to the traditional Mechanical Engineering program. It was created in response to the needs of industry beyond 2030. Its goal is to prepare students for the technical challenges ahead and offer them a combination of proven knowledge and modern tools. On one hand, there are traditional disciplines—design, manufacturing technology, and mechatronics; on the other, methods that are driving development today: simulation, optimization, and artificial intelligence. The emphasis is not only on theory but primarily on practice. Thanks to close collaboration with companies and involvement in real-world projects, you learn to apply the knowledge and procedures that are key to the development of both current and future industry. Significant emphasis is placed on teamwork, the ability to turn ideas into prototypes, and proficiency in the fields of digitalization and automation. The skills gained in this way open up a wide range of opportunities for graduates: they can pursue careers in development, manufacturing, quality assurance, or innovation at national and multinational companies, launch their own startup, or continue their studies in a related master’s program. SMART Engineering is thus not just a degree program—it is a modern educational platform that gives students a real advantage in the rapidly changing world of technology.
