The Bachelor’s degree programme in Civil Engineering is focused on preparing students for employment across all major areas of the construction industry. Graduates are provided with the necessary education in the fields of building design, project preparation, and construction execution, as well as in spatial planning, public infrastructure development, and the management of building assets. The acquired knowledge and skills are supported by theoretical coursework and, in particular, by specialised subjects in civil engineering. An essential part of the graduates’ education is the acquisition of fundamental knowledge and skills in the digitalisation of design processes and the coordination of construction activities within the Building Information Modelling (BIM) environment.

Graduates of the Bachelor’s degree programme in Civil Engineering may find employment in practice within companies engaged in building design, project preparation, and construction execution. Depending on their specialization, graduates may also work in testing and research institutes, as technologists in manufacturing and construction organisations, or in public administration. The specific career opportunities of graduates depend on the skills acquired through the particular specialization chosen by the student in the third year of study within the group of elective compulsory courses.
