Within the programme, students are prepared for careers in transport engineering across a wide range of activities related to the design, construction, maintenance, and management of transport infrastructure and facilities, including roads, motorways, bridges, urban streets, intersections, railway lines, stations and sidings, and public transport structures, among others. In the field of transport engineering, the education is also focused on construction safety elements, transport informatics, safety audits, traffic management and organisation, modelling and simulation of transport systems, and the reduction of the negative environmental impacts of transport, among other related topics.
